We decided on new kayaks in the fall of 2013, yes actually we had ordered them much earlier but it took a while. Arrow Kayaks Play MV felt just right to me (Erik) when we tested a little here and there, among other things West Coast Water 2013.

I had originally thought orange-orange-orange but it turned out to be orange & blue, had originally thought a slightly darker blue but I think this combination turned out very well. Very good visibility and also our two kayaks are held together very well with the blue color. Funny, uncolored kayaks that are barely visible are super boring.

So far have only used it on a small pile of day trips and a couple of long weekend trips with overnight packs. I think it feels very good so far, I hope that feeling continues and develops so that it becomes a long-term friend the kayak fleet.

The Arrow Play MV has sharp strokes, four hatches with associated packing spaces and is an easy-to-maneuver kayak that invites fun paddling. Pia hit on one Play LV. We picked up the kayaks directly from Nicolai at Nicus Nature.

For me, I mostly paddled Clapotis and Clapotis 2.0 with two hatches for the last 7-8 years, it feels a bit confusing with four hatches to spread the packing on 🙂 Eventually I'll probably get used to it too. In terms of volume, the MV feels just fine and should work fine even for longer rides for me.
