The squirrel wheel, the scary place where most people find themselves, running round and round, faster and faster without getting anywhere... Actually, the squirrel wheel is a strange name, nowadays it's mostly hamsters that run in wheels 😉 At least many people seem to believe that luck is around the corner or if I just buy that car, renovate the bathroom, kitchen, hall, living room one more (unnecessary) time. Or just work a little more…. This is how the squirrel wheel is described at Wikipedia

The squirrel wheel is also one metafor for man's seemingly thankless pursuit through modern society. Despite all efforts, one finds oneself remaining in the same place.

How long should you/you/we remain in the squirrel wheel?

Should you stay in the squirrel wheel?

Do you have to stay in the squirrel wheel?

There are many questions and certainly many answers.

Of course, a lot depends on whether you want to stay in the squirrel wheel, whether you want to work 50 hours a week for the rest of your life, how much (crap) you shop, how much you save, how much you earn, etc.

For our part, we think that most people would feel better if they were not stuck in the squirrel wheel. I think many people would feel good about more free time and fewer obligations.

When you ask people what they would most like to do more of, what is important and what they want to do, you often get answers like:

I want to spend more time with my family and children. I want to do things that I think are super fun. I want to move more. Eat healthier. Hang out with my friends. Learn new, fun and developing things.

Then when it comes down to it, it becomes less and less of the above and more and more of work and shopping... More stuff that you don't need in the vast majority of cases. To shop for all these gadgets, you spend a lot of time doing something that might not be what you want to do the most. Most people spend more time and energy to shopping instead of making... You meet your life partner and family only for short moments or only at the door.

If you act like everyone else, you become like everyone else 🙂
