Crazy Creek Hex

By Erik Sjöstedt

almost ten years ago we bought new ones outdoor chairs from Crazy Creek. We started with an Original and a Hex because they were available in some fun colors. After a few years, I replaced my multi-colored Original with a Hex. Original is sturdier and takes almost twice as much packing volume. The original is also a notch more comfortable, but we think the Hex is sufficient for our still quite many hours of sitting per day when we are on an excursion.

The CrazyCreek chairs feel very good. We have used them relatively a lot on mixed kayak excursions and have also taken them on walks, hanging out on the beach and more. We also have slightly higher chairs (type Helinox camping chairs) but for paddling we like the on-ground seats from Crazy Creek better and that's probably a lot because they are so simple, it takes no time to get the seats up. Then a bonus is that they work well as a carpet in the apse/awning or as a short extra sleeping mat.

They are also surprisingly durable. Even the buckles and straps have held up well despite relatively frequent use and quite a few hours on rocks.

Now Hex is available in version 2.0 and also in almost fine color 🙂
