Listerby in sunny April weather

Friday to Sunday i Listerby beautiful archipelago in Blekinge. Mostly brilliant sunshine, warm and sunny. Today, Sunday, some wind. Not paddled any longer distances, all the more nagging in the sun 🙂 Part of the walk among white sedges and old fine oaks on Sled Island. Some roles and rescue exercises, some swimming, good food, good drinks, etc. The Listerby archipelago is definitely a gem! Me & Pia, Kenneth & Kerstin from Karlshamn, Mårten & Linda with children Hugo and Ebba from Kristianstad paddled. I paddled NDK Explorer and Pia NorthShore Buccaneers. We lived in our spacious cabin.

Listerby in April should mean a lot of white warblers under the giant oaks, we thought.
Me & Pia arrived at Slättanäs marina at 17pm on Friday, and while we were packing, Kenneth and Kerstin showed up.

In the evening light and light wind, we paddled the short distance out to Slädö and set up camp in the southwest bay. A good campsite with a nice view and also sheltered from the promised northerly winds.

When we had put up tents and sat in the dark and ate, chatted and had a good time, Mårten, Linda, Hugo and Ebba came paddling with their headlamps. They had started at Kuggeboda.

On Saturday there was a short detour in the local area with lunch at Jordö. After that some bathing and role exercises; stated that "roll-in" as a buddy rescue seems clearly good, but we have to try more in a little lake.

Then hikes on "our" island, some photography of animals and nature and a lot of relaxing in the sun which warmed up properly.

On Sunday it was also easy to just sit in the sun and have a good time, so we didn't leave very early. Mårten, Linda, Hugo and Ebba got away first, it was a bit windy from the north but they weren't going that far so it would probably go well.

The rest of us didn't manage to get off the island, so we had lunch in the sun and after that we managed to grab our collars and paddle away, then pretty much straightening the track to Slättanäs with the wind blowing straight.

A nice weekend in a nice archipelago, we didn't do much paddling but we had a good time!

Nice that Mårten and Linda and the children came out. Otherwise, most people with children and families seem to think that you "must" be indoors and watch TV 😉
