Here we write (Erik & Pia) a little about our current kayaks, the ones we have and paddle now and the ones we had before. We try not to get caught up "I have bought a new kayak and it is and always will be the best"-the swamp, but we are looking from time to time for new kayaks that might suit us better than the ones we have now.
And these opinions, like the opinions on the rest of the site, are our own. What we write here applies to us, the way we paddle and behave in general when we are out. Opinions also have a tendency to change later sometimes when we come to an insight or otherwise develop further in our paddling or our thoughts. After you have paddled a lot and used a few different kayaks, you will probably figure out what you want and what suits you.
For the first ten years of our paddling we changed kayaks relatively often, maybe once a year or so then it calmed down.
Yes, there is absolutely no rush to change kayaks, but it is always fun to try new ones. You learn something new with every new kayak you try. Just because you're happy with what you have doesn't necessarily mean it's the best!
Kayaks are best bought in your most popular or nearest store. Accessories can often be found at Amazon, out north and The outdoor expert.

Build again?!
Built a kayak in 2000. For a while after that, I (Erik) was quite eager to build again, but that urge to build cooled down after a while.
What will be next?
Yes, when this is written we are actually quite happy with the kayak fleet. But there will certainly be some new ones in the future. Maybe a K2 again/another. Maybe one or two exercise kayaks. Or maybe some plastic kayaks for more lakes, rivers, maybe some flowing water, maybe for some wave and rock use 🙂 Packraft and other inflatables are also a bit interesting.
