At last we came out again, just over a month since the last canoe trip with an overnight stay. Cannon Göttingen to come out and how lucky we were with the weather!

Sunny and nice on the piers in Slättanäs
We velade bit this week, the weather looked like that, but it improved the closer it came, the wind would be, but sunshine on Saturday anyway. Ulf and Robbie from the southern regions were oxå sucked and Magnus from Hbg well. Bjorn from Nättraby wanted to go out and test my old romper.
Tried to get even with a few others through an email mailing to kayaking .
In the end we managed to take a decision, but when the bell rang on Saturday morning, we felt anyway after a little extra, we're not really tired? Do not blow too much? Is not it too cold? Or maybe too warm?
Well, we got out of there. I & Pia arrived shortly after Magnus and Bjorn. The sun shone from a clear blue sky, the wind was certainly, but from the northwest. There was little ice here and there in the harbor. Ulf and Robbie was a little late (as usual
). The boat people in Slättanäs was curious (as always) and pleasant.
We paddled north of Kvalmsö, it was high water, but the bridge's high ... But not enough this time ... and bear too hard to roll and / paddle upside down below did not seem like a good solution, so we took Kvalmsö on the other side. Bjorn pulled inwards mainland again, thought it was better to paddle in the wind. We made our way further towards the next bridge (it out to Almö) just before the ice was, a little too thick to get through easily, a little too thin to get across and it was only Pia who remembered the ice prods. But it was to get about by force inside the country, I went first and brötade around a bit (do not talk to Johan L) and then it all went well.

Clapotisbruten innne channel at the edge
During Almöbron we came in anyway and further away to Tromtö for her and lälunch, was certainly a lot of people out and walked / drank coffee there, nice.

Ulf Eriksson and south of Arpo

Magnus south of Arpo
We continued around Almö and Arpo, landed in the beautiful bay on Slädös southwest tip, gun nice evening light. Fast to erect the tents, a rapid cold (perfect given the season) beer and then a little walk before it got pitch dark.

In the evening walk
A small fire and a little hot and cold , gingerbread and then cooking it. Eventually, the full moon up and it got brighter and brighter. I were running around and photographed some of the fine lunar and wood-burning candle.

Fun with night photography!

Tent camp from another direction
It was not so late at night we crept into our cozy tents and slept sweetly.

Breakfast, a little gray

A little bad bounce in the tent ... Is it because of Ulf or Hilleberg ?
On Sunday morning it was, as expected, a little gray. After breakfast and some cried, we took a walk, really nice promenadö with lots of large oaks and other fine. Once back, it was coffee and slowly the sun came out and it got really hot. Eventually we oxå in the kayaks and took us the whole trip (2.5 miles) along the Arpo up til Arpös east side for lunch.

On the other hand Sladö there were indeed some snow!

Then it was inside Vagnö and back to Slättanäs, the last bit into the wind.
What a weekend! Super nice to get out, Listerby is a cozy little island. That it was sunny on Sunday was a great bonus.
Ulf has oxå posted pictures from the tour .
